Rain, rain and more rain!! It's been raining now for at least 12 hours non-stop, and it's set to continue all night, and through into the morning. Needless to say I didn't fancy trudging out in that this afternoon, especially after having walked home from work in it, and got wet once already! The only brief birding done, was looking across the stubbles at Migrant Alley as I squelched home, the large mix of FIELDFARE, REDWING and STARLING were again present, but I didn't hang about to count them! The only other noteworthy bird, was a KESTREL that was seen hunting around the greenhouse complex as I walked up ashes lane.
Lets hope it brightens up a bit tomorrow, but by the look of the fields around my house I'm going to need a new pair of wellies.
